Signs are divided into 2 categories, Elements and Modalities. The 4 elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air.  And the Modalities of Fixed, Cardinal, and mutability.

Fire: passion, optimistic, assertive, independent, and energetic. Doers. They are Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.

Water: Empathetic, compassionate, creativity, and intuition. Feelers. They are Cancer,Scorpio, and Pisces. 

Earth: Stability, reliability, nurturing, and practical. Planners. They are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn

Air: Intellectual, witty, innovative, and communication. Thinkers. They are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. 

Cardinal: Start of season: spring- Aries, summer-Cancer, Fall- Libra, Winter-Capricorn. They take initiative, the leaders for change, self-motivated. Also pessimistic, domineering.

Fixed: Middle of the season: Spring-Taurus, Summer- Leo, Fall- Scorpio, Winter- Aquarius. Grounded and determined to see a project through, loyal, productive. Also Stubborn, inflexible, doesn't know when to adjust. 

Mutable: The end of the season: Spring-Gemini, Summer-Virgo, Fall-Sagittarius, Winter-Pisces. They are flexible, intune with others, adaptable, and solution oriented. Also they are indecisive, gullible, inconsistent, and restless.

March 21 to April 20

Enjoys the finer things in life, creature comforts, beauty, and relaxing. Hard working if motivated, especially financially. Also can be stubborn, Possessive, jealous, has a hard time letting go, over indulgent, and lazy.
